What is Think Ganesha?
Think Ganesha is a contest created by devotees to engage other Ganesha devotees.
Anyone can participate in this contest as long as they abide by the rules, terms and conditions of this competition
The contest offers cash and other prizes every week, month and year.
It is free to join.
How do I participate?
Join now.
Take a photo of you engaged in activities that Ganesha devotees would appreciate.
Upload those photos. Upload a photo every day.
Share the photo to your friends and family. Inspire them to do the same.
Ask other participants to vote your entries.
To increase your chances of winning, vote good entries from others.
What activities can I photograph and upload?
Ganesha should be present in all photos.
Any acitivity that has a photo of Ganesha that would impress Ganesha devotees are welcome. Some examples:
- Involve in acts of Kindness
- Engaging in Ganesha prayers and Satsang
- Making someone Happy

You can also submit any photos with Ganesha or relating to Ganesha:
- A selfie Infront of a Ganesha idol or photo
- A Ganesha drawing or painting by you
- A Ganesha statue made by you
- A photo Infront of a Ganesha temple
- A tattoo of Ganesha (no nudity)
- Photo of your Ganesha Mandap
- Painting of Ganesha Mandap
- Abstract drawing of Ganesha
- And so on…. Your imagination is the limit !!!!
How do I join?

How do you select winners?
All entries are reviewed for appropriateness and to ensure adherence to contest rules and terms.
Participants vote entries from other participants.
The entries that get the most votes are considered for prizes.
We also add some extra marks to entries from those participants who have actively voted the entries from other participants to get final winning points.
The entries that get the most winning points are declared as winner.

When are the weekly, monthly and annual prizes given?
We follow Gregorian calendar for ease of calculating and distributing prizes all over the globe. All prizes for a week are calculated on the first working day of next week, and are announced the next day. Similarly, prizes for a month are calculated on the first working day of next month, and are announced in the coming day. Annual prizes are yet to be announced.
What is the guarantee you will give prizes?
The team behind Think Ganesha as well as all involved and devotees of Lord Ganesha. As such, we take highest importance in delivering what we promise.
Why are you giving the prizes?
We wish to engage devotees of Lord Ganesha.
Winning is only a part. The aim of the contest is to engage and improve collaboration among participants.
Prizes are given for many reasons, including:
- Encouragement and immediate recognition for your efforts.
- Engage Ganesha devotees.
- Engage those who have talent.
(You are welcome to donate the prize to individuals or organisations.)
What is the aim of this competition?
The aim of the competition is to engage devotees of Lord Ganesha and create a fun experience.
Is there a final end date for this competition?
No end date planned at the moment.

Think Ganesha is supported by devotees and interested people.
From which countries can you participate?
Entries from all countries are welcome.
Can staff and relatives of the organising companies or organisers participate?
Just like you, we are also devotees of Lord Ganesha. However, in the spirit of the competition, we will not be participating by submitting our own entries. All entries will be from the public only. Any one working for Think Ganesha, or are part of the team who sponsor prizes are not allowed to participate in the contest for prizes.
Will the prizes increase?
Yes, that is our aim! We endeavour to get more sponsors so that we may increase the prizes.
Can I copy another person's photo?
No. We only accept original and authentic content.
Is photoshopping allowed?
Photoshopping your own original content is allowed (for beautification, etc.). However, photoshopping someone else's content and declaring it as your own entry is not allowed and such entries will not be considered for the competition.
Is it ok to take photos from photo-restricted places?
No. We respect the rules and regulations of these photo-restricted places, and we expect you to do the same.
Is Ganesha the only theme...how about other gods?
Currently, the only theme is Lord Ganesha.
How many entries can a person submit?
There is no limit to how many you can submit.
However, we recommend you submit your best few entries.
From time to time (to limit heavy traffic) we might limit the number of entries you make per day. We will notify you when you try to add a new entry.
Is it mandatory to share a submission to win prizes?
While it is not mandatory, we recommend all participants to share their entries.
Your chances of getting votes could increase by sharing.
What kinds of entries are likely to win prizes?
What should be the photo like?
What kind of content should we submit?
Does personal experiences count?
The most authentic, genuine and creative entries are likely to win prizes. Your entry photo and content should be an expression of your devotion to Lord Ganesha. Personal experiences and stories are definitely welcome.
In short: Enter quality photos. Submit as many entries as you think is necessary. Write a good title and a detailed description for each entry. Share your entries in social media and through email to friends. Ask others to vote your entries. Also, encourage good entries from others by voting them.
Why is this competition free?
The aim of the contest is to engage and improve collaboration among participants. To achieve this objective, a lot of participation is required, and we hope to use the competition as an effective medium. To increase the chances, we have decided to make it free, forever.
Is it ok to promote my business through the entries?
Maybe. While it is ok to display your logo, business name, etc. in entries, submitting an Ad as entry is banned. Also, submitting an entry entirely for the purpose of promoting your business is prohibited.
To check if an entry would be accepted, consider the following:
- If the entry is related to Ganesha, but also displays your business, it could be Ok.
- Remember that Think Ganesha is a contest about Ganesha, and not about your business.
- The contestants might not be interested if an entry is exclusively about your business.
If an entry wins a weekly prize, is it eligible for monthly prize?
Yes, an entry is eligible to compete for weekly, monthly and annual prizes, irrespecitve of what prizes it has won.
Note that an entry cannot win the same prize (e.g.: 2nd prize) more than once in a year.

For example, if your entry has won a weekly prize, it is eligible to compete for monthly and annual prizes.
Similarly, if your entry has won a monthly prize, it is still eligible to compete for weekly and annual prizes.
